Prague has always been a city of culture, Mozart composed his famous opera Don Giovann in Prague, the great Czech composer Antonín Dvorak spent most of his life here and Franz Kafka is one of the city's most famous representative.
Prague city’s territory is home to 81 museums, 108 art galleries, and 71 resident theatres and concert halls.
Black Light Theatres of Prague developed a new way of combining theatre, dance and music. The intense darkness of black theatre is full of fantasy. All productions are visually orientated with no spoken Czech – ideal for foreigners.
There are many daily classical concerts which are performed in churches and halls around Old Town area.
Prague annually hosts major cultural events such as the Prague Spring music festival.
