The Luxury Travel Industry "unites" in Las Vegas
From 12 - 18 August 2017, the "crème de la crème" of the luxury travel industry met at the 29th Virtuoso Travel Week at Bellagio Resort & Casino, ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas. This year's theme: "Travel Unites".
More than 5,500 experts from over 100 countries were exchanging experiences on the latest trends, best hotels, most unique experiences and insider tips on luxury travel.
Austria was represented with four Virtuoso Hotels – Hotel Imperial, Park Hyatt Vienna, Ritz Carlton Vienna, Hotel Sacher Wien-Salzburg – as well as with the Austrian National Tourist Office, Vienna Tourism and Mondial DMC as the official on-site for Austria.
In addition to a total of 240 four-minute meetings and 36 ten-minute meetings, various panel discussions, workshops, networking events and Virtuoso Award Ceremonies were on the agenda.
What is the Oscars or Academy Awards for the film industry is the “Virtuoso Best of the Best” Award Ceremony and Hotels & Resorts Gala Dinner for the luxury hotel business. During an exclusive Gala Dinner, the top Virtuoso properties were were awarded in different categories. We are especially proud of our valued partner Hotel Sacher Wien-Salzburg for their nomination in the category “Best Family Program”. Once again, our dearest congratulations!
The highlight of this year's Virtuoso Travel Week was the Virtuoso Gala Dinner hosted by Virtuoso President and CEO Matthew D. Upchurch. During the gala dinner themed "Virtuoso takes flight”, several luxury travel advisors and agencies were awarded in various categories: the most innovative and admired Virtuoso agency and Virtuoso advisor, best airline and best cruise ship company, etc.
