Hofburg New Year's Eve Ball
The New Year's Eve ball is the kick-off to the Viennese ball season. In imperial atmosphere, the Hofburg (Imperial Palace) - guests can expect a thrilling opening ceremony, culinary delicacies and an entertainment program with first-class artists of the Austrian and international cultural scene, numerous renowned orchestras and bands. Majestic Imperator Train De Luxe
“Roll” into the New Year on the luxurious Majestic Imperator Train. A 5-course gala menu is served in imperial atmosphere. Just in time for midnight, the train stops at the Danube bridge, from where guests can experience the magnificent fireworks in front of the skyline of Vienna. From the dance waggon, one will listen and dance to the sound of the Danube Waltz.
City Hall New Year's Eve Gala
The Vienna City Hall also offers a sparkling New Year's Eve gala. Guests can expect a 4-course gala dinner in the exclusive ambience of the Vienna City Hall. The Viennese Court Ball Orchestra and the live band "Midnight Spirits" provide a lively dance atmosphere and entertainment.
Those who prefer to mix with the party people, find their right spot at the New Year's path in the city centre of Vienna. From 2 pm until 2 am the old town is transformed in a huge party area. Numerous stations provide culinary delicacies, entertainment and waltz, operetta, rock, pop and DJ lines. A must-see is the so-called “Klassikmeile am Graben”, where Viennese dance schools offer waltz dance classes and the city centre is transformed into an open-air ballroom.
