On 1st October 2017, we celebrate the "International Day of Coffee" – the day in honor of the favourite drink of the Austrians.

The coffee (house) culture of the Austrians traces back to several centuries. In 1685, the first Viennese coffee house was built; more than 300 years later, the coffee house is an institution that cannot be compared with any other in the world.

Coffee is the only drink that perfectly combines tradition and modernity and the hype around the caffeine-containing drink has continued to this day.

On the occasion of the "International Day of Coffee", celebrating its 16th anniversary on 1st October 2017, coffee lovers have various options to deal with their favourite beverage. For individual travellers, but also for groups or incentive groups, the Kaffee Museum Wien (Vienna Coffee Museum) and the Kaffee Kompetenz Zentrum (Coffee Competence Centre) offer great insights into the world of coffee. Depending on the type of tour, there is even the possibility preparing one’s own coffee.
