A trip to the picturesque Wachau, a glass of chilly white wine at a small picturesque wine tavern and a marvellous view above the Danube river – this is my Austrian variation of la dolce vita. There is nothing better than that.

Nearly every year again, I try to enjoy my skiing holidays in Kleinarl in the skiing area Amadé in Salzburg; and in summer, I prefer to go to Styria (Austrian province south of Vienna) and spend some relaxing time at the beautiful south Styrian wine road.

The small Styrian City of Admont, located at the edge of the National Park „Gesäuse“, impressed me a lot. I also visited the Benedictine Abbey Admont, with its impressive church and the largest monastic library in the world, a very fascinating spot indeed.

The Riegersburg, a castle in Styria, can be seen from afar already, located on top of a high rock. You can climb this rock via a historic footpath, and once you arrive on the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view above the south Styrian volcano land.

Rust is a small village at the Lake Neusiedl and also called the city of storks and wines. The whole setting of this village is simply fascinating: its architecture, its history, the landscape, the people – topped by a really nice glass of wine, wonderful.

Steyr, a city in Upper Austria, is located amidst a nature reserve, offering lots of things to do: culture, wonderful outdoor facilities, or simply a comfortable walk within the impressive historic city centre, there is something for everyone.

To me, the Innsbruck Nordkette is the quintessence when it comes to recreation. In summer, I love chilling out there and enjoying the breath-taking views. In winter, I get up to the Nordkette to have one or the other drink at Cloud 9 – an Igloo Bar on 1905meters – a unique experience. Whether in summer or winter, the Nordkette offers cool events and sports activities for everyone all year round.

I find inspiration, where tradition, modernity and cosmopolitanism meet. In Vienna, this would be for example at the Museumsquartier, on the Danube Canal with trendy restaurants, bars and sandy beaches or at the "Orient ums Eck" at Brunnenmarkt  with fragrances and sounds from 1001 nights.

Vienna is beautiful for living and going out. The cultural offer (cinema, clubbing, bookshops) and the feeling of life are something very special. Outside of Vienna, I like cycling along the river Danube or hiking in the Eastern part of Tyrol and Carinthia - that's where I get new energy from!
