Even though the Czech Republic is primarily known for beer, Czech wines should not be underestimated. Moravian and Bohemian wines are well used to bringing precious wine-awards home every year. The region of Znojmo is an area of white aromatic wines – both, the region as well as the wines count to my personal favourites.

The complex of Lednice Palace and Valtice Palace in the South of the Czech Republic is a true jewel of Gothic. An absolutely unique park has been created over the centuries, full of rare tree species, romantic little buildings, ponds and beautiful corners. Strolling through the palaces and garden is always very special to me.

By all my heart I love the Moravia Region: Especially the UNESCO area of Lednice and Valtice chateaus, the city of Olomouc and the fabulous Bouzov Castle and its surroundings and the UNESCO-palace Kroměříž with its beautiful gardens. Not to forget about the great Moravian wine!

A hilly terrain, beautiful lakes, high cliffs, deep green forests, flower-filled meadows and three UNESCO-listed sights – that best describes the unique region Vysočina. I very often visit this beautiful region to go hiking in the unspoilt nature and to completely switch off and relax.

In the small, enchanting spa town of Karlova Studánka, one cannot only find central Europe’s cleanest air, but also picturesque timber spa buildings embedded in a mix of wooden hills and green meadows and steep cliffs. My favourite place to relax, calm down and taking a deep breath.

The Prague Jewish-quarter developed in the 13th century and with the old Jewish cemetery, six Synagogues and a Jewish Town Halls, it is one of the most valuable memorials of Jewish Europe. The Jewish quarter is a place one should certainly not leave out when strolling through the "Golden City".
